As Ontario’s premier training facility for heavy equipment operators, Robar knows what it takes to achieve excellence in an industry where competence and professionalism are critical to safety. That’s why we’ve designed a comprehensive program that maximizes hands-on training time with a wide range of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, packers, compactors and skid steers.
We offer this training on-campus over five weeks in small classes (with a maximum of nine students) led by two highly qualified instructors. Trainees spend seven hours a day operating machinery in real-world scenarios that provide industry-relevant project experience and help them develop the professional skills that future employers are looking for.
Robar also designs customized programs for companies, corporations and organizations to train and assess employees on your site using your equipment. This allows you the flexibility you need to train and evaluate employees as required to ensure they meet and exceed ministry and industry requirements without disrupting workflow and impacting operational profitability.

You’ll also join an elite team defined by mutual respect, shared purpose and having each other’s backs.
So, if you’re looking for a competitive salary, job stability and a fulfilling career while being part of a close-knit team that values skill, safety and camaraderie, it might be time to discover if heavy equipment training is right for you.
Our courses start every six weeks throughout the year. To enroll in our training program, you must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of Grade 10 English proficiency.
